Emma wasn’t just exhausted. She was terrified of going to bed.
Every night felt like a struggle. ‘It got to a point where I questioned whether I’d ever sleep well again,’ she says. ‘I couldn’t understand why my sleep wasn’t working like it used to.”
“It felt as though something inside me wasn’t functioning and I wasn’t able to correct it. It was like my body was forgetting how to sleep.”
She tried everything: melatonin, magnesium, meditation apps, blue light glasses. But nothing touched the fear that gripped her every evening. The fear that tonight would be another blur of tossing, turning, and calculating how few hours were left before her alarm.
It wasn’t until a colleague shared her own story that something shifted.
“She told me she’d had terrible sleep issues for nearly ten years,” Emma recalls.
“And then she attended this online sleep webinar. She said it really helped her understand what was happening and more importantly, and what kinds of steps might be available for her to explore…”
That colleague had found the session after hearing sleep expert Stephanie Romiszewski on the Diaries of a CEO podcast. Curious, Emma signed up for the next available session.
“I couldn’t believe how much of what she explained sounded like my experience. Like she understood what I was going through.”
Stephanie Romiszewski started her sleep science journey in a place few clinicians ever go.
Working with NASA on how astronauts could adapt their body clocks to Mars’ 25-hour day.
From there, she specialised in working with people experiencing long-term sleep difficulties at the renowned Guy’s and St Thomas’ Sleep Disorder Centre.
Over time, she saw the same story repeat: people were putting in effort, following well-known advice, yet continuing to struggle with sleep
“There’s this huge gap between what the science says works, and what most people are told to try,” she explains.
To help bridge that gap, she created a webinar that helps people understand what factors might be relevant to ongoing sleep experiences, and the new ways people can approach these challenges with more insight and structure.
Stephanie’s presentation helps viewers explore:
But most importantly, it helps people get more clarity.
“This webinar doesn’t give you a one-size-fits-all solution,” Emma explains.
“It helped me understand my sleep issues and pointed me in the direction of the right kind of help.”
After watching the webinar, Emma realised she didn’t need to keep guessing.
She began to understand why she felt “wired and tired,” why her sleep kept shrinking, and why even well-meaning tools like meditation weren’t helping.
Over time, Emma noticed changes in her sleep experience and was able to reduce her reliance on rituals.
Something she had found difficult to believe was possible
If you’re stuck in a frustrating cycle of bad sleep and failed fixes, joining one of Stephanie’s free webinar sessions may help you learn about factors that might be relevant to your sleep experience.
It doesn’t promise a miracle.
But it could help give you a clearer understanding of what might be going on, and what approaches people sometimes find helpful.
The webinar is still available. To join the next session click on this link and you’ll be able to reserve a free spot.
Because as Emma puts it:
“Once you better understand what might be happening, you might feel more hopeful about what’s possible.”
