Thoughts and Sleep

Yesterday, we discussed the power our thoughts can have on us not only psychologically, but physiologically.

Now that we understand how a negative mindset can hold us back from achieving our goals, let’s think about this in relation to our thoughts around sleep.

Changing beliefs isn’t easy… Beliefs are often very deeply engrained and reinforced by repetition over many years.

The first step is to take a look at our beliefs.

Don’t try to change anything… Just think about what you really believe about sleep.

To start off, here are a couple specific questions we’d like you to think about. What are your deep beliefs about these questions?

1- Do you need 8 hours of sleep to feel refreshed and to function well during the day?

2- When, on a given night you don’t get a proper amount of sleep, on the following day do you need to catch up by napping? Or do you need to sleep longer on that following night?

Take a minute to think about it…

Maybe even write it down for the future.
