It’s important to remember that normal sleep does not equate to sleeping perfectly every night. In reality, normal sleep can look like good sleep – good sleep – a random bad night and you’re not sure why – good sleep – a few bad nights because you’re sleeping away from home – good sleep – really good sleep – a long episode of perpetuated poor sleep because of illness – good sleep – really good sleep – one bad night… So many things can affect our sleep, from our environment, to our general health, life events, stress… anything! So let’s normalise occasional poor sleep and learn not to treat it as something out of the ordinary which we need to worry about.
